It'd been so long my memories of him were all but blurry in my mind, and the dark didn't make anything else much clearer. Why did- how did I lead myself down this path.
I weakly fell to my knees and collapsed into the mud. I didn't care, it's where I belonged. I was worthless, less than dirt.
I thought of him, Dinzer. I missed him with all the heart I could muster. I wouldn't mind the pain, just to feel him with me again. I brought my nose to the moon. It had just risen through the trees. A sliver of bright moonlight played upon the ground before me, and made the most interesting patterns. I'd never seen anything like it, to be honest. The wind all but stopped, and the forest hung in deathly silence.
It was so peaceful, the moon. I sighed heavily, feeling my body being crushed under my self hate. You know, I realized that if I were to die here at this exact moment, well. I wouldn't stop it.
